Week 1 - Intentions Brief

Following my summer inspiration of a trip to Barcelona and a variety of festivals, I chose the term ‘Past/Future’ from the list given to us to help propel our research. I am interested in conveying ideas of the temporary/ permanent within time and action. Over the next few weeks I plan to capture the essence of ‘explosive situations’ of colour and motion, playing on the idea of a fleeting temporary moment resulting in a permanent affect.

Using found objects as a starting point, I am inspired by some firecracker remnants I saved after the Coreffoc (fire run) in Barcelona. I will also pull inspiration from Catalonian traditions, protests, festivals, found objects memory and dreams.
